To-day Fran and I made flower brooches with the sizzix big shot flower die and upholstery and drapery fabrics, I think they turned out pretty cute   what do you think?  These are our samples, we have other fabric to work with too

This last picure the color is not right on it, I tried to adjust it but it didn't work very well

Birthday Cards I Made To-day

Well it was a case of I have to get these two cards finished to-day, so here they are. First is my Mom's birthday card, it is a side step card done a little differently, the picture is 3d layers.

Not a very good picture, card looks crooked but its not really just the picture.

Second is one a 3d card I did for Bryan's sister Glenda, she always looks for something unusual from me in a card,so here it is.
I will have another post in a bit here of my faux leather and a couple other things from my Bday and Christmas.  See you later  Cara

Fran's B'day Card, Calender, CD Holder all in one

Here is a couple pictures of the Card, Calender, Cd Holder I made for my friend Fran her b'day is on Friday...Happy Birthday Fran!

The picture is 3-d layered, the little calendar has tear off pages, I found it on the net, sorry forgot where I got it from, I just printed it out.

because the cd cover was a larger size I custom made the folder to fit it.
The poem is also one I found on the net.
On the cd I put techniques and tutorials for using the Score Pal  go check out the Score Pal at  http://www.scor-pal.com/
I use my score pal all the time,  Fran has one but she never digs it out, I am hoping she will start using it more and find out how handy it really is and learn to love it like I do mine.  Useful for not only making the fold for cards, but for making little boxes, bags and for any thing that needs a score line.
It is one of the most useful items I own, I use it as much as I do my Cuttlebug.
Speaking of the Cuttlebug, to-day I embossed paper with the mosiac embossing folder and made Faux leather, got the idea when I saw the tutorial on SplitCoast Stampers
I thought why do I need to make a wallet why can't I just use it on  a card...so that is what I am going to be trying with it, I will put the pictures up when I get em done.

Bye for now

A New blog Header...Wish I was on a Beach somewhere!!

I just had to change my blog to something warmer...wish I was on a beach somewhere nice and warm...maybe Costa Rica where Carole'Ann is or Hawaii where my friend Louise is, would be nice but I am not there I am here in cold snowy Alberta.

So I did a couple more quick digi pages with  pictures of my daughter. I tried to upload the 2 pictures of my daughter but they would not upload they were too big I think...so here is one of my youngest son Glenn and I taken 1971 or 1972, I guess I should put some sorta writing on it, do you think?

Well back to my soup making
See you next time, soon I hope!
